It’s been an incredible honor to serve as LaPorte County’s Judge for Superior Court 1 for nearly 2 ½ years. Since being appointed to the post September 2005, I have dedicated myself to being fair, consistent, and compassionate in and out of the courtroom.
Golf Event - Crazy 8 Golf Fundraiser
Fun for golfers and non-golfers. Crazy 8 golf involves challenges beyond a typical golf game. Registration begins at 4:00, start at 4:30. $65 individual. Team and hole sponserships available.
Each player on an 8-person team chooses a single club to use throughout the 9-hole round. One team plays together on each hole. Each team member hits their club in order until the ball is holed. The player with the next club in order tees off on the following hole, and play continues around the course playing each club in order. It's Crazy - you may have to tee off with a putter

Judge Kathleen Lang was appointed LaPorte County Superior Court No. 1 Judge September 2005. Her caseload includes major felony criminal cases, family law, civil litigation, estates, guardianships and mental health cases.
Prior to this appointment, she served our county as a Magistrate, as a Probate Commissioner and as an Administrative Hearing Judge.
As LaPorte County Circuit Court Magistrate, she was instrumental in developing several at-risk youth programs, such as Project ED & Day Reporting.
